Kingsford Smith Drive Upgrade

As our New World City grows, new developments, upgrades and improved infrastructure are key to cope with expansion. The 4007 Precinct suburb of Hamilton is at the foot of what is going to one of Brisbane’s biggest upgrades in the coming years. The Kingsford Smith Upgrade has begun and is expected for completion in 2019.

Kingsford Smith Drive is a major road linking Brisbane CBD to the Brisbane Airport, Port of Brisbane, Northshore Hamilton and the Australia TradeCoast area. It provides a strategic link between major urban, trade and tourism centres, as well as providing one of the first snapshots of Brisbane.

The Upgrade will involve widening the road from four to six lanes between Theodore Street at Eagle Farm and Cooksley Street at Hamilton. It will also include improvement works between Cooksley Street and Breakfast Creek Road at Albion.
