Brisbane winters… they’re always mild, with a cold snap that lasts around three weeks – which is just perfect really. Our sub-tropical existence is, quite frankly, liveable! So for those of us who like to get swept away in all things winter, wild and woolly anyhow, Racecourse Road is the place to shop, dine and indulge this season; from winter warming porridge, cable knits, comfy throws and hot toddy’s… it’s time to Rediscover Racecourse Road.

Paleo Porridge

Covers off, uggs on, dressed and out the door to Racecourse Road’s newest café. Not only is their porridge delicious, but this dish will sustain you with the wholesome goodness of oats and almond milk, fresh berries and burnt honey. And because everyone likes a bit of pep in their step, grab a coffee to go and that’s your morning made!

The Precinct at St Leger is open from 6.30am-2pm Monday to Friday, 7am-12pm Saturdays and Sundays.

With the temperature in the teens to low twenties, it’s now time to revamp the winter wardrobe. Layering knits, ponchos, wraps and light weight jackets are right on trend this season and Joli Boutique has beautiful garments in stock to have you rugged up in style. Visit Lauren and the girls at the top end of Racecourse Road and discover esteemed labels including Gerry Weber, Brax, Betty Barclay and Barbara Lebek, all perfect for a Brisbane Winter.

Navy & Tan – Uncomplicated Luxury

Deep navy and rich tan is the colour palette Style Guru, Natalie Winter, is honing in on this season. The uncomplicated finesse these two colours bring to any room gives and unmistakable air of luxury. Add textures of wood, quilted fabrics, throws and cushions-a-plenty and you have a room that conjures the cosiness of winter warmth.
